Dear Subscriber, This email is for informational purposes only, meaning no action is required from you. However, please read this email in its entirety, as it contains important updates from NOAA Coral Reef Watch. NOAA Coral Reef Watch’s automated operational Satellite Bleaching Alert system will be upgraded and expanded soon to produce alerts for 227 Virtual Stations. All 24 Virtual Stations (listed at http://coralreefwatch-satops.noaa.gov/VS/orig24_names.txt) in the original operational Satellite Bleaching Alert system that you currently subscribe to will continue to be represented in the new system. A successful transition to the new Virtual Stations system requires that we briefly suspend your ability to make subscription modifications. If you wish to make changes to your current 24-station subscription now, please visit the original subscription page http://coralreefwatch-satops.noaa.gov/SBA.html before February 24. In mid-March, you will begin receiving alerts from the new operational 227-station Satellite Bleaching Alert system and will once again be able to modify your subscription. At that time, you will receive an additional informational email from us about the new system. ************************************************************************************* If you currently subscribe to the Experimental Satellite Bleaching Alert system, the Operational Satellite Bleaching Alert system, or both, your subscription will be automatically transitioned to the new system. You will continue to receive email alerts for all of your subscribed stations with no interruptions during this transition. Satellite Bleaching Alert email messages will be produced and distributed as usual on Mondays and Thursdays. ************************************************************************************* To view a complete list of the 227 stations in the new operational Satellite Bleaching Alert system, please visit: http://coralreefwatch-satops.noaa.gov/VS/list_vs_group_latlon_201103.txt.
